Vince Carter. I sit on those words. I wonder. Will we get equal value as 'they' all say we won't? Some people say you can't get it. What is equal value? We're talking about getting rid of Vince Carter. For some reason still a very popular player. News travels slowly. I hope you have enjoyed the theme i picked for the site. Seemed appropriate, although not so easy to subtly glance at, during work. But fortunatley I am under the strong impression that i'm writing to myself. Say no more. Indeed. Go on.
I have lots of random thoughts on Vince. His terrible nicknames. Here's the rare case of a guy who's nickname can't stick. It just didn't happen for Air Canada. It gets out there. Bad vibe. New try. Everyone trying there own. Vinsanity! Vinsanity has got to be the best nickname in the NBA which no longer applies. I hope Vince believes his still Vincesane. It will help him adjust to his new surroundings. Vince, what in the hell do you know about hiring general managers? I'll give you it's painful to watch Peddie meddle away. But you are just as bad. Danny's boss is just as bad. I'm just as bad. Or am I?? Perhaps i've got the sign and deal trade of the summer in my back pocket! I'll give you a clue. It involves courtside seats in Miami...Over 4 dozen basketballs....And a little 'go to slasher' i like to call Mo Pete. That's just your teaser. Ders is on line 3 and he likes it. Ship Vince out of town. Bring in someone young. Someone with potential. Someone who's not 34. Or of course we could pick up Mutombo and make a run at the whole damn thing! I'm still convinced we need to bring Oakley back. Forget Phil Jackson's zen when we've got access to Charles Oakley's crazyness. A little psychosis and dazed enough look on your face to never know if you'll lop my head off. Perfect. Vince. Get up!
The collective groan. Another VC special. If you can generate a consistently detectable semi groan upon getting 'hurt'?, i'll tell you.. it's never looking good. Did anyone good ever go through this type of criticism? At least, anybody good who ever won anything? I feel for his management company who must wonder how to possibly spin his image into something to sell. Aim low. Get the kids. Show him smiling and dunking a couple years ago. Gooooooood ideahh!
p.s. I got an email from Babcock trying to assure me that almost everything I hear is total gossip. Thanks to Bobby for pointing this out to us. Ah from the heart email about how the philosophy is going to win games. Glad he's got a philoshy. Pain that it was reported he wants to match for Mo. Is a $5 Millllion dollar 7th man the way to go? DIdn't we pick up a Rafer a couple years back for nothing? A Voshon who couldn't get a job? A Bradley who...wait a second. We have a whole new batch of potential 7th and 8th men. Let them battle it out for nothing.
